A bold site design for an iconic ski resort

Origin is pleased to announce the launch of a brand new, industry leading website for Quebec’s Le Massif de Charlevoix ski resort.

The multi-language site, built in Drupal 9, was concepted and designed to leverage Origin’s recent work in creating a new brand platform and story to help showcase the resort’s shift to becoming a four-season destination for those seeking natural beauty and mountain adventure no matter the time of year.

The site features a colour palette inspired by the beautiful St Lawrence River and the stunning alpine sunsets and sunrises that serve as a backdrop to the mountain, and incorporates subtle graphic nods to Quebec’s vibrant culture and visual history. “Le Massif is unique and full of character, and strongly associated with the region. We wanted the site to feel like the place,” noted Creative Director Stephen Coomber, adding that the creative team sought inspiration from everywhere but the ski industry.

More than merely looking pretty, the new site had to smartly deliver all of the features and functionality Le Massif’s guests need and expect. The site incorporates sophisticated snow and weather forecasting by leveraging a comprehensive collection of data from Environment Canada, Weather Source and Snowforecast (due to launch in 2 weeks). It also includes fully automated lifts and trails reporting with override functionality that allows utmost accuracy.
